IIT Affiliates
- The Entrepreneurial Law Clinic at IIT - Chicago Kent College of Law represents entrepreneurs in transactional matters common to early-stage and small companies
Associations
- iBIO is Illinois’ biotechnology industry association with members ranging from international agriculture to startup biotech firms, scientists, government members, and business professionals
- Illinois Science & Technology Coalition (ISTC), a member-driven, non-profit organization, works to cultivate and attract research and technology-based investment, talent and job growth in the state
- PROPEL, a joint venture between iBio and corporate partners, offers a series of educational programs aimed at increasing the number of life sciences start-ups in Illinois and boosting the success rates of existing companies
- The Chicago Council on Science and Technology C²ST seeks to be the preeminent regional consortium for science- and technology-related education and policy and a prominent voice nationally
- The Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center (CEC) is a nonprofit affiliate of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce seeking to make an economic impact by helping entrepreneurs and high-growth businesses enterprises
- The Illinois Technology Association is dedicated to growing Illinois’ vibrant technology industry with educational programs and networking opportunities
Government Resources & Funding
- The City of Chicago provides support for technology businesses, new businesses and existing businesses
- The State of Illinois, with assistance from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity includes technical assistance with Federal SBIR/STTR applications, Training Investment Programs (TIP), Renewal energy resources/solar thermal energy grants.
